My name is Sheila Koech. I would like to know if there are any pests affecting Soybeans and any possible leads to farmers growing Soybeans in Kenya. I will really appreciate any feedback from you.
Soya bean pests include bean fly, bean aphid, mealybugs, flower thrips, false codling moth, leaf hoopers, bean bruchid, white flies. All the same the mentioned pests cause negligible loss in soya beans when identified early. Always scout your field in the morning to check for any pest incidences. Consult your local agrovet or area extension officer for expert advice when you identify any pest & diseases.
