M.E.D.F. is a partner of Skype in the Classroom, a Project of Microsoft inc. Through our Skype Classes, we achieved unrivalled success hosting over 400 classes across the globe and travelling over 1.3 million virtual miles virtually every year.
We have hosted classes on Food security, Water harvesting, Environmental conservation, Kenyan culture as well as Virtual tours of the Teaching Farm and rural village life. The impact of our work through Skype in the Classroom has been felt not only by the students and teachers we met online but by our community as well. Through our Skype collaboration classes raised funds and supported needing families through our HIV Family Initiative Project, installed water harvesting tanks, and established vegetable gardens at homes and schools here in Kenya.
