For the past four years, M.E.D.F. has offered skills training and in-farm demonstrations at our Teaching Farm in Mitahato village. The training brought together stakeholders from agriculture research institutions and input providers who facilitated training on animal husbandry, crop production, and value addition.
Our partnerships with both government and private organizations enhanced the training and linkages of our beneficiaries to potential agribusiness opportunities. By the time the project ended in June 2017, we had trained over 20,000 farmers on crop production and value addition. To expand our reach to more farmers across the country, M.E.D.F. launched a new online portal called “FarmLINK Kenya”. See Current Projects for more information.
