Overview

Unusual rain patterns, floods or longer periods of droughts are some of the visible effects of a changing climate in Kenya. The consequences for small-scale farmers can be disastrous: They lose an income for a whole season or the basis of livelihoods altogether.

How can actors in the agricultural sector venture into new, climate resilient farm management techniques? The Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has long-standing experience in “climate-smart agriculture” and assists farmers in adapting to changing environments.

Join us in a briefing and discussion with Neema Grace Mutemi (FAO) about how farmers can improve their food security and incomes. We invite everyone engaged in farming, as well as academia or professionals working in the agricultural sector and anyone interested in the topic.

The talk will be followed by a guided tour of the United Nations.
